20\u00ba World Congress on Information Technology<\/em> (WCIT). O evento, considerado o maior do mundo no setor de tecnologia da informa\u00e7\u00e3o, acontecer\u00e1 em Bras\u00edlia entre os dias 15 e 18 de maio de 2016.<\/p>\nO 1\u00ba vice-presidente da Fibra, Jos\u00e9 Luiz Diaz Fernandez representou, por motivo de viagem, o presidente da Fibra Ant\u00f4nio Rocha na mesa de trabalhos da cerim\u00f4nia. A Federa\u00e7\u00e3o das Ind\u00fastrias do Distrito Federal (Fibra), o Senai-DF e o Sindicato da Ind\u00fastria da Informa\u00e7\u00e3o do Distrito Federal (Sinfor-DF), juntos, apoiam a realiza\u00e7\u00e3o do evento e foram com o governo do DF e a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o das Empresas Brasileiras de Tecnologia da Informa\u00e7\u00e3o (Assespro), os articuladores para que a entidade mundial do setor de tecnologia da informa\u00e7\u00e3o, a WITSA, escolhesse Bras\u00edlia como sede do WCIT 2016.<\/p>\n
O governador Agnelo Queiroz atentou para a import\u00e2ncia do WCIT acontecer em Bras\u00edlia em 2016, criando oportunidades para investimentos no setor de TI no DF. Segundo o governador, \u00e9 uma grande oportunidades para o crescimento do setor de TI em Bras\u00edlia, permitindo a abertura de novas vagas de emprego. \u201cBras\u00edlia nasceu com voca\u00e7\u00e3o para o setor p\u00fablico, mas a cidade cresceu, sendo necess\u00e1rio criar novos caminhos de investimento.Com a ind\u00fastria limpa da tecnologia de informa\u00e7\u00e3o, teremos condi\u00e7\u00e3o de incentivar mais a economia local\u201d, explicou o governador.<\/p>\n

Em 2012, o congresso foi realizado em Montreal, no Canad\u00e1 e em 2014 o M\u00e9xico sedia o WCIT em Guadalajara, reunindo empresas e entidades empresariais do setor de tecnologia da informa\u00e7\u00e3o de todo o mundo.<\/p>\n
O WCIT de 2008 foi sediado em Kuala Lumpur, na Mal\u00e1sia. O evento atraiu na \u00e9poca mais de 30.000 pessoas com um modelo que, segundo Jeovani Salom\u00e3o, ser\u00e1 exemplo para o congresso a ser realizado em Bras\u00edlia. \u201cNa Mal\u00e1sia, uma grande a\u00e7\u00e3o conseguiu levar para dentro do WCIT outros grandes eventos de TI, atraindo grande p\u00fablico e trazendo a um n\u00edvel ainda mais importante o congresso\u201d. Salom\u00e3o sugere como um dos eventos que podem ser parte do WCIT 2016 o Campus Party, quer reuniu quase 8000 participantes em S\u00e3o Paulo no ano passado.<\/p>\n
